Important Dates for the Horseshoe Falls Regional Council GC45 Proposal meeting.
At the fall meeting of the Horseshoe Falls Regional Council there were GC45 proposals which were tabled to a future meeting, and the Executive was tasked with choosing a date. That future meeting will be Saturday Feb 8th from 9am -3pm.
It will be an online (Zoom) meeting of the Regional Council to vote on these proposals. There will be a Learning Session (on Zoom) on Tuesday February 4th from 6:30-8pm where people can ask clarifying questions. Every Horseshoe Falls Regional Council Representative both clergy and lay are strongly encouraged to attend both the Tuesday night learning session and Saturday discussion/voting sessions.
Any GC45 Proposals to be included in these sessions need to be sent to the Executive Minister, Mark Laird mlaird@united-church.ca by Thursday January 16th. Once received, a review committee will look through the proposals and help the authors of the GC45 proposals make sure they are as clear as possible for the court. The GC45 proposals will be available on the website on Thursday January 30th.
A registration email for the these meetings will follow. Please save the dates of Feb 4th for the learning session and Feb 8th for the meeting. If you have any questions please forward them to Executive Minister, Mark Laird.

Monday January 6th Registration opens.
Thursday January 16th Deadline for GC45 proposals
Wednesday January 22nd Proposals will have been looked at by a Review Committee and will set a meeting with the authors of each proposal to discuss through any suggestions they have to make the proposals clearer for the court.
Wednesday January 29th Deadline for the proposals with any changes the authors have chosen to make in light of the suggestions.
Thursday January 30th Proposals will be posted on the website.
Tuesday Feb 4th 6:30-8pm Learning Session via Zoom where people can ask clarifying questions…no decisions will be made this night, or opinion given, just clarifying questions for any GC45 Proposals we have received.
Saturday Feb 8th 9am-3pm HFRC meeting via Zoom to discuss, debate and vote on GC45 Proposals.
