Mission and Service Grants 2027
The Discipleship and Justice Commission welcomes applications for 2027 Mission and Service Grants (previously described as Mission Support Grants):
Mission and Service Grant Application
Be sure to use Check List [docx] or [PDF]
In preparing your application, see the checklist for the documents and information that will be needed. If you cannot complete the application in one sitting, it is possible to save it and work on it later. However, please note that any documents that were uploaded will need to be uploaded again. It is also possible to download and print a pdf of your draft application before submission, for your own proofreading or to share with colleagues.
The deadline for submitting an application is 8:30 am Monday September 21st, 2026. The Discipleship and Justice Commission thanks you in advance for completing the application in full. Please be advised that applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Incomplete applications will also not be considered.
United Church pastoral charges, United Church incorporated ministries and other United Church affiliated ministries that are in good standing and engage in ministry with the region are eligible to apply. As The United Church of Canada lives into a difficult financial reality, cuts have been made to regional councils for Mission and Service. As you prepare your application, the Commission asks that you prayerfully consider tailoring your request to reflect that the Regional Council has fewer resources than at this time last year.
Application packages will automatically be sent to John Egger at JEgger@United-Church.ca
After submitting your application package, you will receive a confirmation with the information you submitted.
If for accessibility reasons you need a paper copy to fill out, please contact Discipleship and Justice program staff for assistance.
If you have any questions or concerns as you fill out the application, please don’t hesitate to be in touch with any of the staff members:
