This summer, members of Horseshoe Falls are offering a summer series where we will explore racism, racial justice, and white privilege through the lens of media (books, poems, movies, etc.). We will meet twice a month on Sunday evenings at 7pm from June to September. Please register here. The registration form shows the media we will be exploring throughout the summer and the dates we will explore them. Watch this YouTube video for more information.
If you are a member of Horseshoe Falls Region, the Region will pay for one of the four books on the list, if you purchase them from the Grand River Bookstore (grandriverbooks.ca). If people appreciate engaging in this way, we will explore other topics in the future like Indigenous Justice, Anti-Asian Racism, and 2S and LGBTQIA+ Justice. If others are interested in helping to facilitate this program, please reach out to Deborah Laforet at deborah@stpaulsoakville.com.
